Addicks handed Luton cup test

CHARLTON have been drawn away to League 1 Luton Town in the third round of the Carling Cup.

The match will take place around the midweek of Wednesday, September 26th. The date of the game and kick-off time will be confirmed next week.

Luton, maanaged by Kevin Blackwell, beat Premier League Sunderland 3-0 in the shock of the second round.

The last time Charlton faced Luton in the competition was September 2003 when the Addicks narrowly went through 8-7 on penalties.

A memorable game had finished 4-4 after extra-time, with Paolo Di Canio scoring a last-minute equaliser to make it 3-3 in normal time.
