Addicks defender ruled out for the weekend - and the season

Toe injury: Sam Sodje
Toe injury: Sam Sodje

Charlton v Southampton

Sam Sodje is out of Charlton's penultimate home game against Southampton on Saturday and may miss the rest of the season with a suspected broken toe.

The on-loan central defender sustained the injury in the 36th minute against Plymouth and was replaced by Madjid Bougherra, who had been a long-term casualty after picking up an ankle injury in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on February 8.

Though keeper Rob Elliot performed heroics on his first team debut at Plymouth after replacing Nicky Weaver, who was sent off in the third minute, Addicks boss Alan Pardew may recall Darren Randolph from his loan at Bury as Weaver serves a one-match suspension on Saturday.

Striker Andy Gray, who missed Saturday's match with a heavy cold, is likely to be back in contention.
