DOWIE: "We have to be more clinical"

IAIN DOWIE has challenged Charlton’s players to support leading-scorer Darren Bent and chip in with the goals needed to hoist the club out of trouble in the Barclays Premiership.

The England international’s match winner in last Saturday’s 1-0 home win over fellow strugglers Manchester City was his seventh among a grand total of nine goals that Charlton have managed so far this season.

Dowie said: "I want other players to chip in. We have to be more clinical and need goals from set-pieces plus four or five from the midfield."
