FOUR young people have been arrested in connection with the vandalism that devastated a playgroup in the county.

The break-in at Morehall Nursery Playgroup in Cheriton, near Folkestone, was discovered after staff arrived to prepare for their summer playscheme.

Hundreds of pounds of damage was caused, with paint strewn around, taps turned on and 12 windows broken.

The summer playscheme is now being hosted in a room donated by Morehall School.

A 10-year-old boy, two 12-year-old boys and a 14-year-old girl, all from the area, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and have been questioned and released on bail pending further enquiries.
