Young man stabbed three times in the back

A MAN was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old was found with three puncture wounds to his back at around 6am in St Pauls Cray, Orpington.

A police spokesman said: "No weapons have been recovered at this time and we are keeping an open mind about the motive."

Associates of the victim took him to a nearby ambulance station where he was transferred to Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police cordoned off Chipperfield Road, the scene of the alleged crime, while they investigate.
