Young man charged with murder

A 22-year-old man is due to appear in court today accused of murdering another young man.

Edwards Jones, 25, from Bexleyheath, died after an incident in Lovel Avenue, Welling, in the early hours of Sunday, December 10.

Daniel Vella, 22, of Hanover Park, Peckham, is due to appear at Greenwich Magistrates' Court.

Mr Jones, from Welling, died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital at Woolwich the day after the incident.
