You say: Yes, TV is too brutal

The level of violence on television is too high.

That is the finding of our poll asking you if you think there is too much brutality on our screens.

In total 57.1 per cent of voters agreed with a poll by Mediawatch UK in Ashford which claimed 64 per cent of people think there is too much fighting and disorder on the box.

Pamela from Wingham near Canterbury said: “Our children take it as the norm and now we have this problem with a generation that is numb to violence.

“Where have all the script writers gone that used to give us a really good belly laugh, silly slap stick and good soft humour? I despair at the so called entertainment they think the public needs to watch.”

Not everyone thought the level of violence on our screens is excessive.

Jamie who only said he is from Kent said: “It’s simple. If you don’t agree with what is on a certain channel then don’t watch it.”
