MEDALS awarded during the First and Second World Wars were among the items taken during a burglary at a Kent house.

They were stolen from a property in Bowesden Lane, Shorne, near Gravesend, along with pictures and silver, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police are keen to trace the occupants of a blue Volvo estate car who called at the house on Tuesday.
