Worker threatened in knife-point raid on William Hill in Folkestone

A hooded and masked knifeman has robbed a bookmakers.

He terrorised a member of staff at William Hill in Cheriton Road, Folkestone, and took a small amount of cash.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "A man entered the shop and threatened a member of staff with a knife.

"He left with another man who had been standing by the doorway, and turned left."

The raid was at 8.30pm on Tuesday and nobody was injured.

The suspect who went inside the premises is described as being of average build and was 6ft.

He was wearing a black jacket iwth a NIKE tick logo on the left with the hood pulled over his head to conceal his face.

He also had a red scarf around his neck and covering his nose and he wore black gloves.
