Woman suffers head injury in road accident

A woman suffered head, arm and leg injuries during an accident involving a silver VW Lupo in Northdown Road, Cliftonville.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital.

Police closed the road in both directions following the collision, which happened at 10am on Friday, November 14, close to a zebra crossing near the Tesco supermarket.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said the woman had been treated for multiple fractures but her condition was described as stable.
