Woman's body found in
field in Yalding

A woman found dead in a village field has been named as
54-year-old Cheryl Davy.

Police discovered her body in a field in Hampstead Lane,
Yalding on Monday, but they're are not treating the death as
suspicious.

They had earlier had a call from someone concerned for Mrs
Davy's welfare.

A post mortem proved inconclusive, and toxicology tests have
been ordered. But police say there is no suggestion of anyone else
being involved.

Detectives are appealing for people who may have seen Mrs Davy’s
car – a blue ‘S’ registration Renault Clio - in the area between
Saturday evening and Monday morning to contact them.

Detective Inspector Gavin Moss from the Kent and Essex Serious
Crime Directorate said: “As part of our investigation we would be
keen to speak to anyone who saw the car in the Yalding area over
the weekend.

"There is no suggestion that anyone else was involved in this
incident, but I would appeal to anyone who saw the Renault Clio in
the area to contact us.”
