Woman mugged in alleyway

POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was robbed in broad daylight.

The incident occurred in the alleyway adjoining Little Crown Pub and High Street, in Chatham, between 2pm and 2.10pm on Monday.

The 34-year-old female victim was walking along when she was grabbed and threatened by a man. The attacker is then said to have demanded money, she gave him her purse and he ran off towards the High Street.

The woman was not hurt in the incident.

The suspect is described as being an Oriental male, aged between 20 and 25-years-old, around 5’8” tall and of slim build. He wore a brown coat with a fur hood.
