Woman hurled to ground by car-jackers

POLICE are looking for witnesses after a woman was pulled from her vehicle and thrown to the ground by two car thieves.

The 60-year-old victim had been shopping at a supermarket in Station Road, Longfield, near Dartford. When she returned to her car a man got into the vehicle and ordered her to get out.

She told police he threatened her, while a second man opened the driver’s door and pulled her from the car, before the two men drove off in the car, leaving her on the ground.

She suffered minor cuts and bruises and shock as a result of the incident and was treated at the scene by a Kent Ambulance team.

Both men were Asian, aged 18-23 and of slim build. The car, a red Nissan Primera, valued at around £3,000, was later found in the London area.

Anyone has information about the incident on August 15 is urged to call Kent Police on 01322 283114 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
