Woman flown to hospital after Chilham crash

A cyclist has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car in Chilham.

The 64-year-old woman was riding along the Canterbury road with a group of
friends when it happened at 12.23pm today.

She was taken to King's College hospital in London by air ambulance
with broken ribs and other injuries.

The A28 was closed for an hour-and-a-half in both directions between
the A252 and Shalmsford Road.

A land ambulance and police officers also attended.
