The woman's windscreen was shattered in the attack

A woman and her nine-year-old daughter were injured when a thug smashed the window of her car with a dog chain.

The pair had to be treated in hospital after shards of glass hit their eyes during the brutal attack.

The woman, 31, had hit the man's dog with her car after it ran out into the road.

The dog owner and two other men then smashed the driver's window in Norman Road, Ashford.

It shattered the window and left the woman and her daughter, who was sitting in the back of the car, injured.

The woman fled the scene and reported the attack, which happened at about 9.10pm on Thursday, August 16, to Kent Police.

The main offender is described as a white man of medium build, in his 20s, 6ft 2in and with short dark brown hair.

Police also want to speak to a woman who was at the scene and spoke to the victim.
