EMMA EWART: described as a very caring person who made many friends

A YOUNG woman has died after suffering an epileptic fit in the bath.

Emma Ewart, 22, died at her home in the Twydall area of Gillingham. She had suffered from epilepsy for about six years.

Her funeral will take place at Medway Crematorium next Friday, October 12.

Her father, Derek, said she was a bright and bubbly character. He stressed: “She was a very lively girl with a wacky sense of humour which made her many friends, old and young. She was a very caring type of person.”

Emma, a former pupil at Rainham School for Girls, had a passion for drama. She studied performing arts at Mid-Kent College in Chatham.

Mr Ewart added: “Emma was in many of the stage productions at school and her ambition had always been to become a professional actress.”

Emma’s former employees at Morelli’s cafe at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, and friends at the centre have begun a collection in her memory. They plan to present her family with the money.

Emma had worked at Morelli’s for just over two years. Before that she worked at Twydall post-office as a shop assistant. The staff there have also begun a collection.

Emma's family have asked for donations to be made to Epilepsy Action rather than sending flowers for the funeral. These can be made through T. Allen Funeral Services, 53, Twydall Green, Gillingham, telephone 01634 262690.
