Ten-man Welling United were denied an injury-time penalty at Woking on Saturday after a contentious refereeing decision.

Wings striker Andy Pugh (pictured) appeared to be fouled in the penalty area but referee Gavin Muge - who had his back to the play was in no position to give a spot-kick.

Amazingly, however, he booked Pugh for a dive - despite not actually being able to see if any contact had been made.

It was one of a number of decisions that went against the visitors with Anthony Achempong dismissed for a second caution on the hour.

Despite their lack of numbers, Welling were well worth a point in a game that had few bad tackles but still managed to attract nine yellow cards.

Lee Clarke and Luis Cumbers both had early chances while Jack Parkinson's 35-yard free-kick was turned over by keeper Andy Little just before half-time.

The closest Woking came to a breakthrough was when Lyle Taylor turned neatly in the box but fired over the bar.

Achempong collected a harsh caution just before the break and received a second 15 minutes in the second half for a trip on Elvis Hammond.

Parkinson dropped back into defence and Welling were rarely troubled. It took until the last five minutes for Woking to seriously test the Wings. Craig Dobson's cross was turned wide from close range by Hammond before Dobson and then Richard Anane both had long-range efforts saved by keeper John Whitehouse.

Welling assistant manager Barry Ashby was sent-off by the referee at half-time after comments made in the dressing rooms.

Bromley had to come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Farnborough.

All four goals were scored in the first half and Bromley got off to a flyer with a Harry Harding penalty on seven minutes.

But, Farnborough midfielder Jack King quickly turned the game around for the hosts with two goals in the space of seven minutes. First he latched on to a Kezie Ibe rebound to stab home on 16 minutes, before a long-range effort soon after was too good for Bromley goalkeeper Holloway.

Leon McKenzie got the visitors back on level terms on 37 minutes as he latched on to a Tutu Henriques' flick on.
