Witnesses are being sought after a smash on the M20 at Ashford.

Kent Police were called to the London-bound carriageway between junctions 8 and 9 after reports a silver Peugeot had been involved in a crash at about 11.45am on Sunday.

The female driver was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital for treatment to injuries described as minor.

Debris from the collision ended up on the coast-bound side of the motorway, which was cleared by 12.30pm.

Police want to speak to the driver of a white Ford Transit van in the area at the time.
