Temperatures across Kent set to dip in the run-up to Christmas

If you're dreaming of a white Christmas then chances are at least one of the ingredients required for snow will be present.

Forecasters are predicting temperatures will dip in Kent over the festive period.

However, they say it is too early to tell whether snow will fall next Friday, as uncertainty remains over next week's pressure patterns.

The Met Office's Alex Deakin explained: "At the moment, it's too early to say [whether we'll get any snow].

"There's a strong signal - whether or not it's high pressure - that it will be colder.

"Showers are most likely at this stage to be across northern parts of the UK - but details of the exact pressure pattern are just too early to say at this stage."

The Met Office expects there to be sunshine with clouds on Christmas Eve, with thermometers reaching 6 deg C.

Forecasts show that it will remain dry but cloudy on Tuesday and Wednesday as temperatures peak at 9 deg C.
