An elderly motorist shows where not to park after hitting the wrong pedal on her automatic car.

The woman's Vauxhall Corsa ended up balancing precariously on railings in East Malling this afternoon.

She had mistakenly left the automatic car in reverse gear in Howard Road.

And when she tried to stop the vehicle careering backwards, the woman pressed the accelerator instead of the brake - and mounted the metal fence in reverse.

The driver is understood to have decided to surrender her licence - so there will not be a repeat of the precarious parking.
