Maidstone United youngsters Ashley Ulph and Chris Smalling have achieved every young footballer's dream of playing for England at Wembley.

The Stones duo, both 18, have featured throughout the Centenary Shield for the English Schools Football Association’s under-18 side against the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

Previous matches took place at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light and Haverfordwest County in Wales.

But Saturday saw the pair take to the hallowed Wembley turf for a 2-0 victory over Scotland - a result that saw England finish second in the competition to the Republic of Ireland.

England had previously beaten Wales 1-0, with Smalling scoring the winner, before a 1-0 defeat against the Republic at the Stadium of Light last Friday.
