Warm welcome for snow park

THE UK’S first outdoor snow park opened in Kent at the weekend.

The Snow Park at Diggerland on Medway Valley Leisure Park proved a huge success with hundreds turning up to try out the snow-covered slopes.

Chairman of Diggerland Hugh Edeleanu said: “The snow park is for everyone, from skiers to boarders, beginners to experts, adults and children.

“The real snow is made with the help of a snow machine from America. For £7.50 you can play all day in the snow, have a go at ski-ing, snow boarding and tobogganing.”

The snow park in Roman Way, Strood, will be open until spring.Ski-ing and boarding lessons are available and the slopes can be booked for a parties.
