A VULNERABLE man, under the care of doctors, has gone missing from a ward at Medway Maritime Hospital at Gillingham.

James Oliver, 37, disappeared from the hospital on Thursday, May 5. His carers and Medway Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and would like to hear from anyone who may know where his is.

A spokesman for Medway Police said: “Mr Oliver originally comes from the Northfleet and Dartford areas of the county and may try to return to the area."

He is 5ft 10in and has a fair complexion with brown eyes and 2in long curly black hair. He may now have a bushy beard and moustache and was last seen at about 4pm on the day he went missing.

At the time of his disappearance, Mr Oliver was wearing dark blue flip-flops, a white shirt and either white or black trousers.

He was also wearing a fluorescent yellow coat, rather like a traffic coat.

Kent Police are asking either Mr Oliver, or anyone who may know of his whereabouts, to contact the missing person's helpline on 01634 884203.
