A MAN and a woman were killed in a crash involving a bus and a car last night.

Firefighters had to cut the driver and the passenger from the car. Both people, who are still to be formerly identified, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred just before 1am in Park View Road, Welling. The bus driver and a passenger were taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

Park View Road was closed and traffic into Welling was diverted down Danson Road towards the A2.

Police are investigating the accident.
