Two injured in crash on A26

TWO men were hurt when their cars were in collision on the A26 at Teston, near Maidstone.

One man, who was at the wheel of a white Vauxhall Corsa, received serious injuries to his face, while the driver of a red Mitsubishi Charisma suffered whiplash injuries.

Both men were taken to Maidstone Hospital following the accident at the junction of Teston Lane at about 6am on Tuesday. Neither is thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

Queues formed in both directions as police directed traffic around the scene of the incident. The road was clear by around 9am.
