Two hurt in A20 smash

A WOMAN and a man had to be freed from the wreckage of a car after a crash on the A20 late last night.

Firefighters had to remove the roof of their Proton after it was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra near the Sidcup bypass at about 11.30pm.

The elderly pair were taken to Queen Mary’s hospital and treated for minor injuries. The road was closed for more than two hours. The driver of the other car was unharmed. Police are investigating.
