Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue

with drivetime DJ Andy Walker

All of next week on kmfm Drivetime I have tickets for you to win your way into Guilfest. Olly Murs, Tulisa, Stooshie, Cher Lloyd and disco legend Candi Staton are some of the big names performing across Friday to Sunday, July 13 to 15.

Summer 2012 will be remembered as the year for dance songs, and summer is nowhere near over yet and the big tunes keep on coming.

Flo Rida’s Whistle has been picking up over the last few weeks. An artist from Florida who has basically split the sunshine state into two, to create a first name and surname.

Whistle is catchy. In fact, the whistle featured in the song will have you toe tapping. Flo Rida says it is the “biggest record I’ve done yet.”

will.i.am showed what a mega star and a great guy he is on kmfm Breakfast last week with Rob Wills. His new song, This Is Love, features Dutch singer Eva Simons.

Another uplifting hands-in-the-air tune from the Black Eyed Peas frontman who not only wrote and produced the single, he also directed the music video. Listen out for it on kmfm.

Taio Cruz is back. The guy who brought us Dynamite back in 2010 – which still is a popular tune now – brings us There She Goes. Taio always pulls out a catchy chorus. “Uh oh oh” accompanied by a big bass line and “there she goes like a shooting star” will have you turning it up. Perfect for the windows down while driving.

Kylie Minogue has gone dance for her new single Timebomb. Her vocals are instantly recognisable and will have you paying attention saying, “this is different.” It is. It’s very good. The “whoop” will have you tapping the steering wheel as you drive home and will then stay in your head for the next time you hear it.
