Trucker dragged from cab and punched

A LORRY driver was punched and verbally abused by another motorist.

As he neared one of the small bridges towards Bidborough on the B2176 Rogues Hill, Penshurst, the lorry driver saw a silver Ford Focus approaching at high speed, so he gave way contrary to the road priorities.

But when the car came alongside the TNT lorry it stopped. The driver got out and shouted abuse at him before pulling him out of the cab and punching him in the mouth.

The car driver then got back into the car and drove off towards Penshurst.

The offender was white, aged in his mid 30s, of large build with very short hair.

Anyone with information about this incident, which took place at about 2.25pm on Monday, February 26, is asked to contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
