A truck driver killed when two lorries crashed and burst into flames on the A20 has been named today.

Joaquin Branco, aged 54, from Portugal, died in the smash near the Capel le Ferne roundabout on Thursday.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the incident which happened at 3.36pm.

It involved two foreign registered heavy goods vehicles on the London-bound carriageway which both caught alight.

A second man remains in hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

Kent Fire and Rescue Services and South East Coast Ambulance also attended the incident.
