Trapped woman cut free from crashed car

A woman had to be cut free from her car on Sunday morning following a motorway smash.

The incident, involving one car, happened shortly before 5am on the coast bound carriageway of the M2, between Junctions 4 and 5. Police closed a section of the road as a crew from Medway fire station cut the roof from the trapped woman's car and lifted her to a waiting ambulance.

She was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.

Her condition is not known.
