Traffic delays bring M20 to standstill

Traffic came to a standstill on the M20 this morning after a rush-hour accident.

A car hit the central reservation of the motorway at 8.30am today.

Police and fire crews attended, but no action was needed by the fire crew, from Larkfield Fire Station.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured.

The accident happened between Junction 5 (Aylesford) and Junction 4 (Leybourne and Snodland).

Traffic was backed up to Junction 7 (Detling) causing delays of around 40 minutes.
