Top athlete given university support

ATHLETE Charlotte Dale has been offered a three-year honorary sports membership by the University of Kent in recognition of her achievements in her running career so far.

Graham Holmes, assistant director of sport at the university, said: "Charlotte has deservedly earned a reputation as an athlete with enormous potential, both in Kent and at a national level.

"Now some of that potential is being realised and I am delighted that we can support her in this way. I look forward to seeing Charlotte progress over the coming years."

Charlotte said: "I am very pleased to receive this honorary membership form the University's Sports Centre and I will be regularly using their excellent facilities to supplement my overall training programme."
