Timmy Mallett and palette at Cliftonville gallery

Madcap entertainer and now highly collectable artist Timmy Mallett will be at Lovelys Gallery in Cliftonville to display his work today.

Timmy is just as versatile and colourful in his artistic endeavours as he is on stage and in front of the cameras, and will be meeting fans at his exhibition at the Northdown Road gallery,is on Saturday, where he will be in situ from 10am to 3pm.

Timmy loves painting, and will reach for his Mallett’s palette at the drop of a brush - and his love of painting led to him studying history of art at university. In recent years he has enjoyed a keen artisitic friendship and interaction with Rolf Harris, who described him as “an enthusiastic and exciting artist;I am knocked out by his work.”

Gallery manager Caroline Lovely said “We are delighted that Timmy has agreed to exhibit at the gallery.

“His many and varied paintings glow with colour,he is a very talented artist. I am sure he will be inspired by Thanet’s beautiful coastline for his paintings!"
