There is just one week left to enter the KM Group supported Cygnet Awards.

Kent’s school children, in year groups 7-11, have been challenged by Michelin-listed brasserie, The Swan, West Malling, to create a healthy recipe using seasonal and regional ingredients.

Next week's half-term will be the perfect opportunity to enter their healthy starter, main course or dessert recipe online at www.theswanwestmalling.co.uk ahead of the October 31 deadline.

Two lucky winners, one from each group, will be awarded a prestigious Cygnet Award together with a £200 voucher to dine at The Swan.

The winners also have the chance to spend a day in the kitchen at The Swan, as well as having the recipes featured on the menu.

The cook-off finals are on Saturday November 22, at The Cornwallis Academy in Linton, Maidstone.
