Thugs steal schoolboy's bike

A TEENAGE schoolboy was robbed of his push bike as he walked across a footbridge.

The 15-year-old pupil was on the bridge on Chatham Hill, walking towards Longhill Avenue, when he was approached by two men at about 4pm last Friday. One of the men threatened him and then took the cycle.

The bike is a blue-coloured Mission, 26in child's bike that has unique "Max Power" stickers on it. It is believed the machine is rare and there may only be three of this type in the area.

The main offender is about thought to be aged 17 or 18, 6ft and of slim build. He had untidy dark brown hair and was wearing a beige baseball cap, a dark thigh-length jacket and possibly tracksuit bottoms.

The second man was also about 6ft and of stocky build, wearing dark clothing.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Medway Police on 01634 884252 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
