Three hurt in Lydd car crash

Three people were injured in a single car crash this morning.

One person had to be cut free and all were taken to hospital.

The accident happened at Tourney Road, Lydd, at 7.15am.

Ashford firefighter Mike King said: "One person was trapped in the car and had to be cut free by taking the door off.

"The others were not trapped but where physically helped out of the car."

Two rescue pump ladders were called out, from Ashford and Rye, and one fire engine from Dymchurch.

All three casualties were taken to the William Harvey Hospital.
