Thieves steal lead again from church roof

Lead has been stolen from the roof of St Mark’s Church at Pyson’s Road in Ramsgate for the fourth time in the past eight months.

It was taken between 10pm last Thursday and 9am on Friday and the cost of repairs to is estimated at about £1,200.

Witnesses saw two teenage boys early on Friday on the roof and later pushing a wheelie bin down Allenby Road.

They were aged about 15. One was wearing a cream top with dark stripes on it and the other a navy top with white stripes.
