KENT Police is appealing for witnesses after speakers were stolen a trailer parked outside a house in Gardiner Street, Gillingham.

The thieves gained entry to the secured trailer by forcing off the cover. They stole three Alta Elvis 15amp speakers worth a total of about £1,000.

The speakers are heavy and it would have required at least two people to carry each one. It is believed a vehicle was used to take them away.

The incident happened sometime between midnight and 6am on Tuesday, October 10. A police spokesman said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious or a strange vehicle in the area between these times"
