These boots were made for walking!

Get your boots on for the sixth annual Thanet Walking Festival between May 4-10.

The event features two circular country walks every day, each with a pub lunch stop. There is also a morning only walk. The walks are all guided themed ones of up to two hours looking at the history and heritage of the area.

This year there is a special focus as the festival will include the launch of a book of 14 pub walks, published by a local publisher, Walkers Friend.

Festival leaflets are available from Thanet Visitor Information Centres, or at www.thanetwalkingfestival.co.uk

The week is organised by the Ramblers’ Association in Thanet and supported by Thanet council.
