The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to everyone for their kindness and support during this very difficult time.

We would sincerely like to thank the fire service for their speedy response and valour.

We thank all the staff at the Medway Maritime Hospital for their care and compassion, and the staff at the East Grinstead Burns Intensive Care Unit for their expertise, extensive care and compassion.

To DCI Dave Chewter, and all those involved in the police investigation, locally and up and down the country, we thank you all for the thorough, diplomatic way in which you have conducted proceedings, and for the rapid arrests and charges.

Our sincerest thanks go the police Family Liaison Officer DC Mark Silk, without whom we would not have had the strength or direction to carry on during this insurmountable time. Thank you for being there from day one, and for your continued support to us all.

The immediate family are united in grief at our loss of Mark, Melissa and Noah. All three were such important people in all of our lives and we cannot imagine what our lives will now be like without them all.

Mark was a loving husband, a wonderful dad to his four children, a doting granddad to his five grandchildren, and a great son, son in law, brother, brother in law, uncle, great uncle and best friend.

He was loved by all who knew him, a gentle giant. He would do anything for anyone.

Melissa was an excellent mum to Noah, she doted on him. She was a beautiful caring daughter, sister, sister in law, granddaughter, aunt, niece and cousin. She was a beautiful girl with a beautiful heart. She was so kind to everyone she loved.

Noah was a little darling who loved and adored his mum. He had little chubby cheeks and the brightest of eyes which lit up with each smile. He was a beautiful son, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin and great nephew.

He was a contented, happy little boy with an infectious giggle.

Mark, Melissa and Noah will be missed by us all so very much.

The family would like to request that they are given privacy to grieve for Mark, Melissa and Noah and ask everyone to respect these wishes.

We now entrust the judicial system to ensure that justice prevails.
