Teenager's modelling hopes boosted by competition

A teenager has taken a major step forward in her ambition to become a top model.

Ferne Boaden entered the national Teen Queen competition and within two weeks she had been promoted through the first round and invited to a professional photo shoot in London studios.

Now those pictures have been selected for the next round to be judged by the public on the competition's website.

The 15-year-old, from Ruckinge, who is a former Hamstreet primary school pupil, is now at Homewood School, Tenterden, taking her CGSEs and preparing for A-levels to achieve her ultimate aim of becoming a doctor.

Now her parents Mark and Patricia are hoping the public will help vote her through to the next round.

The top three girls in each age category will go through to the July final. The site can be viewed at www.teenqueenuk.com
