Teenager gets stuck in climbing frame

FIREFIGHTERS were called in when a teenager got stuck in a climbing frame.

The boy, believed to be aged 14, became trapped at a plaground in Coopers Drive, Bexley, at 8.45pm on Monday.

A crew from Thames-side fire station in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, were called in to rescue the trapped teen.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We had to manhandle him to get him out. He was a bit embarrassed as he had been stuck there for about half an hour with his friends laughing at him. The playground is meant for up to eight or nine year olds.”

On Monday, April 7, firefighters came to the resuce of a nine-year-old girl who got her leg caught in the frame of her bike.

The young girl was trapped for about 25 minutes in West Street, Erith. Crews from Erith and Bexley had to use specialist hydraulic cutting equipment to free her leg.
