Teenager dies after car crash

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has died in hospital after being involved in a car accident.

The teeanger had been a passenger in a black Renault Clio which apparently went out of control in St Peters Road, Broadstairs, at about 11.45pm on June 24.

He was taken to hospital in Margate with seriously injuries but died on Tuesday morning.

Police say the Clio overtook a turquoise Vauxhall Corsa and collided with a red Corsa travelling in the opposite direction. The 59-year-old woman driving the red Corsa was slightly hurt.

The 17-year-old driver of the Clio suffered a minor hand injury while a second passenger in the car, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with facial and abdominal injuries.

A post mortem will be conducted later this week on the dead boy. He has not yet been named.
