Teenage scooter rider hurt in crash

A 16-year-old boy suffered leg injuries when the scooter he was riding was involved in a collision in a Kent town.

The accident happened in City Way, Rochester, shortly after 12.30pm on Monday.

The teenager was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.

In a seperate incident on the same day, a man suffered minor injuries in a two-car crash at Gillingham.

That collision took place in Hamilton Road just before 3.30pm. The man was also taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
