Suzuki has confirmed that dealer-fitted security systems will now be offered on every one of its motorbikes bought new from March onwards.

The firm has struck a deal with Datatag's Master Security System to supply kits to all main dealers for fitment to newly-registered bikes.

Developed by the company behind the established and award-winning Datatag system, the Master Security System is already proven to greatly reduce the risk of motorcycle theft, thanks to the tagging and marking of major components, making the identification of stolen motorcycles much easier.

The scheme includes new 'stealth' UV etching, Datatag transponders and Datadot technology as well as registration on a secure, Police approved 24/7 database.

Suzuki general manager, Paul de Lusignan, said: "Motorcycle theft is a significant consideration for every customer, so to reduce the chance of theft is something everyone should support.

"As an industry we came together last year and agreed that the Master Security System offered the best solution. With dealer agreement too, we're delighted to offer a free kit, fully fitted for no extra cost on every new Suzuki sold. We hope this extra line of defence gives our customers increased peace of mind."
