Supermarket man attacked by customer

A SUPERMARKET worker was taken to hospital and needed stitches after being attacked by a male customer.

The member of staff was working at the Aldi store in Boundary Road, Ramsgate, when he went outside to talk to a couple who had just left the shop. A scuffle broke out between the shop worker and another man.

The shop worker was hit on the head with a bottle of alcohol, causing a cut that needed two stitches.

The employee went back into the shop and the other man banged on the window before leaving.

Police say he is white, in his mid to late teens, 5ft 8in tall, of slight build and with short mousey brown hair. He was wearing a black zip-up jacket and blue jeans.

The woman he was with is also white, in her late teens, about 5ft 8in tall, with dark brown hair tied in a ponytail. She was wearing a red top.
