Frank Nouble returned to the West Ham training ground on Monday, but admitted he’ll miss the regular trip down to Gillingham.

The 20-year-old striker, pictured, completed his loan period with the Gills on Saturday, in the 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers, and leaves with fond memories of his time at Priestfield.

He said: "I wanted to get a goal but I was just happy we won and we played well. It was a good win.

"The loan has gone really well. I have enjoyed every minute, from minute one, where I scored on my debut. The boys have taken to me well.

"This is the longest loan period I have been on and I am going to miss the players and I have made a few friends here which is good."

Nouble will now attempt to break into the side at Championship West Ham, although he could yet return in January but the Gills may now have competition for his signature.

Nouble said: "If I went back to a League 2 side it would definitely be Gillingham. It is where I have enjoyed my time the most."
