Street robbery victim punched and kicked

A 21-year-old man was punched in the face and then kicked him in the stomach after being approached by a group of youths.

The victim was walking along Hever Court Road in Gravesend when the incident happened.

He reached an alleyway near to Sandown Road and was about to turn into it when one of the teenagers asked him for the time.

The victim got out his mobile phone and told them the time. But as he tried to walk off down the alley one of the teenagers punched him in the face. A second teenager then kicked him in the stomach.

The victim managed to free himself and walk off down the alleyway. The teenagers walked away along Hever Court Road. They did not get away with anything.

The two main offenders are described as white men and aged between 17 and 19. One was 5ft 8in tall wearing a Nike baseball cap, a white tee short and light blue jeans. The second man was 6ft tall and wearing dark blue tracksuit bottoms. He had short, blond hair.

Police in North Kent are appealing for information following the attempted robbery which happened on July 3 at about 8.25pm.
