Stab threat made to supermarket shopper

A ROBBER threatened to stab a 21-year-old woman shopper in a supermarket car park.

Police say the woman was approached outside a Tesco's store in Cliftonville, near Margate, on Thursday at about 7.40pm by a man asking for a pound for his supermarket trolley.

When she told him she didn’t have one, the man followed her to her car and threatened to stab her. The woman gave him her purse.

The robber and another man then drove off in a car down Devonshire Gardens. The car crashed at the end of the road but the pair got away.
