Youtube star KSI spotted at Ashford Designer Outlet

One of YouTube’s most famous stars has been spotted in Kent - enjoying a Nando’s after being followed around by excited fans.

KSI, one of the seven members of influencers The Sidemen, was seen at Ashford Designer Outlet yesterday afternoon as he shot content at the shopping centre.

TikTok videos showed the boxer surrounded by youngsters carrying bottles of his notorious energy drink Prime as his security guard herded him away from the crowd.

An eyewitness told KentOnline that as many as 40 young people followed the London-born entertainer around the outlet as he filmed in BOSS menswear, a store at the outlet.

The 30-year-old was later seen tucking into a meal at Nando’s with some of the other members of Sidemen before driving off in a vintage car.

Last month, the outlet welcomed TV star couple Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott, as they tried out now ‘styling bots’, which curated outfits for the pair.

KSI’s presence in Kent comes days after the launch of The Sidemen’s Bluewater store.

Opening its doors to customers for the first time on Saturday, fans queued up at the shop from as early as 4.30am whilst others travelled from as far as Oxfordshire to join in.

The 6,000sq ft unit is, apart from the official Sidemen website, the only place fans can purchase official merchandise.

Managing director Matt Peters, who has been working with the Sidemen in their clothing line for eight years, said: “It’s been an incredible turnout. We were prepared for this but we weren’t expecting it.

“This kind of response is lovely and it is great that they could come and speak to the fans.

“It’s a huge moment for the boys and the fans as they have been part of this journey since the start. Seeing their favourite content creators doing this is a proud moment for them.”

With more than 10 billion views on his video platforms, the influencer has capitalised on his success since he first started recording FIFA videos in 2009.

He has taken part in two highly publicised boxing matches with fellow YouTuber Logan Paul - and the launch of his energy drink Prime caused chaos across the county.

Multiple stores, including Aldi in Gravesend, reported being inundated with punters desperate to get their hands on the beverage last year.

And one teenager from Broadstairs was making anything from £2,000 to £3,000 a month by selling the drink at a huge profit.

Sam Pateman began selling the drinks in late October last year for an 80% profit when he "noticed a huge hype around it and saw it was out of stock everywhere".
